Hallo there,
I'm a longtime member of this Diy-Hifi-forum. I guess it was about time
I introduced myself in this forum.
My name is Albert, live in Holland, born in Aruba, a small island with
the most beautiful white beaches in the world.
I'm a retired mechanical engineer.
Also studied electronics and have a degree in basic electronics.
I built my first loudspeaker in 1963 based on the Philips speaker M9710.
Bowers and Wilkins DM3 was my first "real" speaker in 1971.
Also owned a Backes & Mueller BM6 in 1978, loved it's sound, but the tweeter was
the weak point, it broke down much too often.
In 1993 I bought a Manger Zerobox kit with one 250 mm woofer.
An active system with 2 stereo symasym amps, a minidsp, a Sphinx cd player and a Sphinx
pre-preamp for my Technics SL-110 record player with a SME arm ( bought in 1971).
In between all this I have also built a few loudspeakers and amplifiers.
Greetings,
Compay
