Hello,

My name is Jay Shoemaker and I live in the USA. I'm sorry I don't speak German. I've always loved music and technology. I was a young boy when digital music started becoming popular, and ever since than I've been toying with audio equipment.

My first DIY project was an MP3Car (dot) com inspired computer jukebox in the trunk of my car. This was before iPods were a thing. Everyone in my high school was envious and we would go on long road trips listening to whatever we wanted. The jukebox had a DC-DC power supply, a 40x4 character LCD screen, and an RF remote. Since before I can remember, I've always toyed with electronics and music.

My current project is a DSP project for live audio mixing. I'm interested in creating my own mixer for use with my audio setup to get a higher quality sound than I have currently, and so I can get some additional functionality. My goal is to develop my own digital mixer and control the mixer using the PC for live performance audio.

I've been studying the FreeDSP Aurora and that is what led me to this site. I am interested in contributing some thoughts to the development of the analog IO boards planned for the Aurora. I have a thought that these analog IO devices could become purposeful to most of the FreeDSP products. I'm also working on my own FreeDSPx expansion board.

Thanks for your time and I hope to have the opportunity to become an asset to the community here.

Jay

Hi Jay,

international users are certainly welcome here as well. Most users can speak English anyway, otherwise Google Translate will help... ;)
